Chocolate Macadamia Smoothie + New Smoothie Rules
Breakfast, post-workout or dessert, smoothies are king. But maybe not at Smoothie King, idk. Just be careful to follow the rules:
New Smoothie Rules: Protein + Fat + Fiber + Greens + (optional) 1/4c or 👇less of added fruit
If you’re new to the blueprint, it’s our way of keeping your blood sugar stable so your body can get into fat-burning mode, rather than just staying busy burning and storing extra glucose. You’ll also help yourself by not feeling hungry or craving carbs because your brain and body are satisfied, thus sending the correct hormonal messages to your brain that it’s all good in the hood.

TIPS ON FIBER: a supplement (like acacia fiber) + greens (kale is higher than spinach in fiber ✌️) are a good way to go, berries are also higher in fiber and lower in fructose.
TIPS ON FAT: Fat is what keeps your hunger hormones at bay. It says, “hey, I’m nice and full, we’re cool + can relax and burn some fat”. Keep your serving to about 1-2 tablespoons or 1/2 an avocado (freeze the other 1/2 for your next smoothie). Nut butters, MCT oil, chia seeds, avocado are all 👍. For whole nuts, use the palm of your hand for an adequate serving amount.
